Jennifer Stock is a composer and sound artist who coordinates sound and image for live performance, integrating instrumental performance, found sounds, and video. Current projects include "City Scars," and "Grainery," which correlate granular processing of piano, guitar, and ambient found sounds with video feedback. Recent New York performances include the New Composers Series at White Box Gallery in Chelsea, the EMF Lab Productions Concert Series at Flea Theater, the Untapped series at the Tank, and the New West Electronic Arts Organization Festival at Roulette. She has also performed at Galapagos, the Chelsea Art Museum, the Knitting Factory, Yippie Museum Cafe, Monkeytown, and Lit Lounge. She holds a B.A. in Music and English from Yale and will start the doctoral program for music composition at CUNY in 2008. She also curated a year-long concert series called Sound Art, which brought together an eclectic cross section of contemporary music; info on those concerts here.
