	Sound Art Concert Series: _______________________________________________________________
	The Sound Art Concert series started in January 2006 as an excuse for me to try out some new compositions and hear some interesting composers perform. In the process of putting together the first concert, I realized that there were specific programs I'd like to see and hear but never had, programs curated with the specific intention of combining complimentary sounds rather than programming according to genre. The goal became to program composers that were perhaps not ordinarily programmed together, yet who would profit from side-by-side listening. Crossing genre-lines brings audiences with wide listening interests together, so the idea of the concert series is to increase audiences for various kinds of music, or at least make audiences more open-minded about genres outside the scope of their usual listening. ______________________________________________________________________________________________
